What is Ulcerative colitis?
It is chronic disease that develops with the time, its onset is not sudden, occurs rectum that spreads to colon which is also known as large intestine. It is a form of inflammatory bowel disease.

Types

Ulcerative proctitis:
It occurs in rectum causes constipation and rectal bleeding.

Left-sided colitis:
It is also known as Proctosigmoiditis as it causes rectum and sigmoid colon inflammation and leads to urgency but unable to evacuate stool, abdominal cramps and blood in stool.

Widespread colitis:
This causes inflammation of whole colon, resulted weight loss, abdominal pain with blood mixed stools, diarrhoea.

Diarrhea
Urgency but unable to pass stool
Fever
Weight loss

Causes
Weak immune system
Hereditary pass on disease
Excessive use of antibiotics
