What is Anorexia nervosa?
It is a life threatening eating disorder that restricts the food intake, patients are majorly concerned regarding their body weight, they are afraid of being fat and shape, they restricted their diet to control their weight, cut off calories, resort unhealthy measure and even exercise excessively, they vomit out the food if patients thinks he eat more today as a results they grow thin.
It is considered as serious mental disease due to poor nutrition leads to low esteem and anxiety .
There are 2 types of Anorexia Nervosa:
Restrictive anorexia :
It causes severe food restriction and excessive exercise in fear of gaining weight and body image.
Binge-purge anorexia
It causes episodes of binge eating at a time and purging initiated immediately after mouth full eating. Person uses laxatives and vomit out food if he thinks he does over eating.
Who are more prone to Anorexia nervosa?
Women are mostly affected by it. It commonly begins at the age of 15 in girls.
